Gulabo Sapera is the Kalbelia dancer, born into the snake-charmer community near Ajmer and based in Jaipur, who brought the Kalbelia dance from the village to the international stage from the 1980s; she received the Padma Shri in 2016 and runs a dance institute in the city that trains girls in the form.
