Sitapura is the RIICO industrial area beyond Sanganer on the Tonk road, with the Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) and the Mahindra World City special economic zone beside it. It is where Jaipur’s export businesses work: gem and jewellery units, garment factories, handicraft exporters and the IT and BPO companies.
The Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), where the big trade fairs and the Jaipur Literature Festival’s larger events have been held, is in Sitapura, as are several engineering and management institutes along the road.
A visitor comes for a trade fair, a factory or a college. The airport is ten minutes north, and the Tonk road continues south to Tonk and the Ranthambore route.

- Exporters here sell to the trade, not to walk-in visitors; take an appointment.
- JECC events are listed on the venue’s site; parking is ample.
- Allow an hour from Sitapura to the walled city at peak times.
