The Gem Palace is the best-known jewellery house in Jaipur outside India: the Kasliwal family have been jewellers to the Jaipur court since the eighteenth century, and the shop on Johari Bazaar has sold to visiting royalty, collectors and fashion houses for generations.
The house works in antique and court styles — kundan, polki, enamel, carved emeralds — and in contemporary pieces made in its own workshops, and it has shown its collections abroad.
