Pratap Nagar is a Jaipur Development Authority colony of the 1990s and 2000s on the south of the city, between the Sanganer and Jagatpura sides, laid out in sectors like Mansorovar. It has filled with apartment projects and the campuses of institutes, and the airport is a short drive west.
The colony has its own sector markets, the Pratap Nagar hospital and schools; the Agra bypass runs along its east and the Tonk road is to its west.
A visitor finds hotels here near the airport and little else; the walled city is forty-five minutes away.
