Tonk Road runs straight south from Sanganeri Gate past Rambagh Circle and the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, through Durgapura to Sanganer and the airport, and on to Tonk. It is the road the visitor arrives on from the airport, and the hotels, hospitals and showrooms of the new city line it for its whole length.
Durgapura is the colony halfway down, with its own railway station and a busy market; the big private hospitals, the car showrooms and the wedding gardens are along the road either side. The SMS Stadium, where Rajasthan plays its cricket, is at the northern end.
It is a traffic road, not a walking one, but it is the spine of the south: Malviya Nagar is east of it, Mansarovar west, and the airport at its southern end.
