Ramganj Bazaar

The eastern bazaar beyond Badi Chaupar towards Surajpole — jutis, leather, and the Muslim quarter’s own markets.

Ramganj Bazaar runs east from Badi Chaupar to Surajpole Gate, through the quarter where many of the city’s Muslim craft families live and work. It is the juti-making and leather bazaar at the production end: the shoes sold in Bapu Bazaar are often made in the lanes here.

The bazaar also has the city’s kebab and non-vegetarian eating houses, busiest in the evening and during Ramzan, and the Ramganj Chaupar square at its middle.
